Under the Australian Government's Medicare CDBS scheme, children aged 2-17 years might be entitled to receive up to $1,095 worth of basic dental services over two years. Eligible services may include:

• Teeth cleaning and fluoride treatments

• Oral health dental check-ups

• General treatments, i.e. fillings and extractions

• Dental x-rays

At Waterways Dental, we take pride in our status as a preferred provider clinic for CBHS and NIB. Additionally, we accept all dental health care plans. Bupa, Medibank, AHM, HIF, HCF, GMHBA – you name the acronym, if they are a registered health insurer we can claim healthcare payments for you on the spot. You'll only pay any applicable gap.

We are often asked if we have 'no gap' services, however dental insurance payments per service can vary greatly depending on your health fund, the type of cover you have, and your level of cover. So while we may have services that turn out to be no gap for some clients, they're not for others with different health funds – it's complicated! That's why we don't try to advertise claims of 'no gap' dental, as it's never one size fits all.

To better understand what dental services are covered under your health policy and what payment coverage they offer per service, get in contact with your health fund directly – your health fund may cover part or all of your dental requirements. Ask in reception if you need help decoding your health fund's coverage concerning any applicable dental service fees.

When you use Afterpay, you pay for your items in 4 instalments over 6 weeks, without incurring any interest. You can get the dental services you need today and spread the cost over time. Pay it in four instalments: 25% upfront and the rest every two weeks. and the remaining three instalments will be automatically deducted from your nominated debit or credit card over the following six weeks.

In certain limited circumstances, you may be able to access your superannuation early to help fund medical or dental treatment. The ATO states you may be allowed to withdraw some of your super on compassionate grounds for unpaid emergency expenses. Ask our reception team for assistance in determining whether your circumstances may apply.
